Cracked Alloy wheel 01

Typical Damage

Small hair line cracks on the back of the wheel are amongst the most common. Often caused by pothole impacts and usually found on wheels driven with run flat tyres.

The picture to the left shows an example of this type of crack.

Please note that the guide price above is for the repair of 1 crack. Sometimes wheels have multiple cracks, in these cases there is an extra charge of £20 per crack weld per wheel.

Moderate Damage

This type of damage includes cracks that have opened up (no longer hair line) or cracks that are longer than approx 3 inches. Also cracks that follow the barrel of the wheel round fall into this category. All of these types of damage take more time than the typical cracks.

The picture to the left shows an example of this type of crack.

Severe Damage

This type of damage is usually quoted on inspection although we will always try and give a ball park figure to help a customer decide if it is worth doing.

An example is a hole, as in the picture to the left, something like this may cost £120 – £150.

The prices above are for guidance only. We try to keep pricing as straight forward as possible and in most cases the guide price is correct, however there are times that on inspection the damage maybe more extensive than expected.
